Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced a new online system for visitors to apply for Oman tourist visas online. The applicant must be outside the Sultanate of Oman at the time of application. Applicants who want to apply for Oman visa needs to fill online visa application form, upload required documents and pay oman visa fee online to process Oman visa. Everyone needs a visa to enter Oman officially the Sultanate of Omanunless they are citizens of one of the GCC countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE).

Citizens from countries including the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and all EU countries are eligible to apply for an Oman online visa. The online visa application is quick and simple, requiring applicants to answer a series of basic questions. Additionally, all foreign nationals residing in GCC Countries (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait) regardless of their citizenship, are also eligible to apply for visa to Oman.

WHAT DO I REQUIRE TO APPLY FOR OMAN VISA ONLINE?

1. A photograph of the applicant
2. A scan copy of the passport of applicant
3. Few nationalities require a copy of valid visa for one of the following countries (United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan or Australia). These countries include Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Georgia, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Maldives, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
4. All foreign nationals residing in GCC Countries, regardless of their citizenship, are also eligible to apply for e visa to Oman or apply for online tourist visit visa for Oman.

GCC countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE) residents only can apply for 28 days GCC Visa single entry having passport of any nationality but they should have valid GCC visa and residents proof of GCC country.

Before the online Oman e visa was introduced, visitors needed to go to an embassy or consulate, or to queue at the border, to obtain a visa for Oman. The Oman visa online has eliminated this need for citizens from eligible countries. Other types of Oman visas and requirements are still available.
